SCOTT S. SCHAUS. Executive Vice President and Basic Sciences Senior Lecturer

Scott began working full time for Valley Anesthesia in 2002 as Director of Education and is now Executive Vice President. Scott has 32 years teaching experience, including a 7-year stint as Assistant Professor of Nurse Anesthesia at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, where he taught Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry & Physics, and Statistics & Research Methods. Scott received an Excellence in Teaching award from Iowa State University and has presented at local, national and international conferences.

ANDREW TEICH, MSN, CRNA. Vice President of Clinical Education

Andrew joined Valley Anesthesia in 2012 as Director of Clinical Education and now serves as Vice President of Clinical Education. He received both his Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nurse anesthesia from Columbia University. Andrew has been a full time CRNA at the Mt Sinai Medical Center in New York City since 2002. He has lectured across the country at both state and national level meetings. Andrew enjoys working with students both clinically and academically and is passionate about helping his students achieve certification.

CAITLIN TORGERSON, PhD. Basic Sciences Lecturer

Caitlin joined Valley Anesthesia as a Basic Sciences instructor in 2016. She received her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from The University of Richmond; her Ph.D. in Physiology from Penn State University; and, completed her post-doctoral fellowship work at John Hopkins University in Anesthesia/Critical Care Medicine and Biomedical Engineering. Since 2006, she has taught physiology to students of all stripes – science majors and non-majors, undergrads, graduate students, physician assistant students, medical students, and nursing students. These days, outside of her time spent with Valley, Caitlin teaches graduate-level physiology to biomedical engineers at Johns Hopkins.

BRIAN ESTRADA, MBA. Operations Manager & Student Services Coordinator

Brian joined the Valley team in July 2013 as the Student Services Coordinator. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and his M.B.A from the University of Bridgeport. Prior to joining Valley, Brian served as an Admissions Representative at Training Direct, a healthcare education and training company.
